Mr. Garrison took Clay Shaw to court on the basis that Mr. Shaw went by the name Clay Burtrand and had relationships with Lee Harvey Oswald and David Ferrie and was part of the extended plot in New Orleans. Dean Andrews told Jim Garrison that after the assassination he was contacted by Clay Shaw to be Lee Oswalds lawer, but when in court he claimed that the calls he received from Clay Shaw were just his imagination due to a cold he had at the time.

A New Orleans Business man, Claw Shaw was arrested by Jim Garrison. Garrison had witness Vernon Bundy who testified that he saw Oswald and Clay Shaw together along the seawall along Lake Pontchartrain. Perry Russo Testified that he had seen Oswald and David Ferrie together with shaw at Ferries New Orleans Appartment. Bundy and Russo were written off as drug addicts.

David Ferrie
David Ferrie was a pilot, with Eastern Airlines until he was fired for homosexual activity on the job. He was also a hypnotist, a serious researcher of the origins of cancer, amateur psychologist, and a victim of a strange disease, alopecia, which made all of his body void of hair.Anti-Castro, anti-Kennedy, and anti-Communist, Ferrie was also a bishop of the Orthodox Old Catholic Church of North America. Ferrie worked for Guy Banniester in Anti-Castro organizations and is claimed to know Clay Shaw, Jack Ruby and, Lee Oswald
Guy Bannister
In 1963 Bannister a former FBI agent ran a detective agency out of a office in 531 Lafayette Street New Orleans. in that same summer Lee Oswald has seen handing out Pro Castro leaflets with the address 544 Camp Street stamped on them which is located in the same building. Jack Martin a Louisville native who worked with bannister told friends that Bannister and Ferrie had been involved in the assassination and that Ferrie and Oswald knew each other from their days in a civil air patrol unit and had taught Oswald how to shoot a rifle. He also said it was Ferries job to fly Oswald out of Dallas.
